Croup

So Andy has been sick for about a week now. It first started with fevers that topped 104 degrees and a lot of mucus. He also seemed to have had trouble breathing. It was really hard for him to swallow foods so wasn't eating as much. The wife took Andy to his doctor and the doc said that Andy had croup. Croup is a respiratory disease that infants and children under the age of 6 can usually get. Very common. Andy had a barking seal cough, fever, mucus, red throat, and a narrow airway. The narrow airway was giving Andy a hard time breathing especially when he would be sleeping and the cough would hurt him and wake him up. The doc prescribed Andy 3 days of steroids to open up his airway. While it seemed Andy was getting better but we still had sleepless nights, Andy got another fever of 104. Took him back to his doctor and now he has an ear infection. Poor guy. So now we have medicine for his ear infection and still has fevers. But his temp right now is the lowest it has been the whole week. I hope this week will be a good week, not for us, but for Andy.
