Carpe diem is now my new saying in life. Latin for seize the day. A poet named Horace wrote "carpe diem quam minimum credula postero." Meaning "seize the day and place no trust in tomorrow." I truly believe in living in the moment and not worry what's going to happen tomorrow. One of my favorite artists is Common and in one of his songs he raps, "don't worry about tomorrow, because today is a blessing." I know at moments when times are hard and you begin to look forward to tomorrow and hope for a better day. But like a wise turtle once said, "the past is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today well today is a gift, that's why they call it the present." Got that from Kung Fu Panda. Lol! Pretty good movie. I know my boy KB24 (Kobe Bryant) lives by carpe diem. But I must say that I have seen carpe diem before I heard it from Kobe. Life is going to fast for me and I just want to live in the moment. Slow life down a little and enjoy it no matter what. Carpe Diem.
